Refund & Returns Policy
At Italia Moto, we are committed to ensuring you are satisfied with your purchase. Our Refund & Returns Policy is designed to comply with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and provide clarity on your rights and our processes.
1. Consumer Guarantees (Your Legal Rights)
Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if the product you purchased has a major problem. A major problem is when the product:
- is unsafe,
- is significantly different from the description or sample shown,
- does not do what it is meant to do or what we said it would do, or
- cannot be easily fixed within a reasonable time.
If the problem is minor, we may choose to repair, replace, or refund the product.
These rights apply regardless of any warranty offered by us, and they cannot be excluded by law.
2. Change of Mind Returns
While we are not legally required to offer refunds for change of mind, Italia Moto provides the following goodwill policy:
- Returns for change of mind must be made within 14 days of purchase.
- Items must be in original, unused condition with all packaging, labels, and proof of purchase.
- Refunds for change of mind will be issued as store credit or to the original payment method, at our discretion.
3. Timeframes for Refunds & Returns
- Refund requests relating to faults must be made within a reasonable time after purchase, depending on the type of product and expected lifespan.
- Change of mind returns must be initiated within 14 days of the purchase date.
- Refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days once the return has been approved.
4. Process for Returns
- Contact Italia Moto via info@italiamoto.com or visit us in store at Italia Moto, 104 Helensvale Road, QLD, 4212 with your proof of purchase and/or bank statement showing proof of purchase and reason for return.
- Our team will assess the claim under the ACL guidelines.
- If eligible, we will arrange for repair, replacement, or refund.
- Approved refunds will be made using the original method of payment, unless otherwise agreed.
5. Exclusions
The following are not eligible for refunds or returns (unless they fail to meet ACL guarantees):
- Items damaged through misuse or neglect.
- Customised or special-order items.
- Clearance or sale items clearly marked as “final sale.”
6. Governing Law
This Refund & Returns Policy is governed by the laws of Australia and does not exclude or limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
